Skin Shots - Lactic Acid 10%
- Solutions for:
- Skin type
- Warnings and contra indications
- How often can I use?
Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. This 10% formulation offers mild exfoliation. Apply a few drops to cleansed skin before oils, creams, and moisturizers at night only. Allow a few minutes for it to absorb. If irritation occurs, this product can be diluted to reduce its strength. This product should not be used on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin.
It's only recommended for use once a day at maximum, but should probably be used once every few days. Don’t use with other acids and exfoliants like AHAs or benzoyl peroxide. Retinol should be avoided as well.
- Uneven skin tone
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Dullness and uneven texture
Discontinue any use on the face of retinol, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and alpha hydroxyls, as well as any chemical anti-aging exfoliants, eyebrow growth serums, or any "brightening" skin care products at least two to three weeks prior to any microblading/dermabrasion procedure. Always perform a patch test prior to using. Avoid contact with eyes. This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skins sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin.
If your skin is sensitive then try using it as mask for 10 mins and then rinse it off. See for the next 2 days how your skin responds. If you can't see any difference then on the 3rd day, dilute it with your oil/serum (preferably oil) and leave it overnight. Depending on the skin type, youcan use it once/twice a week or apply once per day, Ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance.
