Due to the high concentration, this cream may have a strong sulphuric smell due to that molecule in the glutathione and bearberry. It blocks the activity of tyrosinase by slowing down the pigmentation.

Hyperpigmentation is a common condition in all skin types and colours. Patches of skin become darker in colour than the normal surrounding skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces natural skin colour, forms deposits in the skin.

Key Ingredients:

• Licorice inhibits the production of an enzyme needed to produce melanin (pigment) in the skin. It helps remove excess melanin and has anti-inflammatory benefits. 
• Alpha arbutin is a naturally occurring derivative of hydroquinone (a popular skin-lightening ingredient) extracted from the dried leaves of plants like blueberry, cranberry and bearberry. It blocks the activity of tyrosinase by slowing down the pigmentation. 
• Kojic acid inhibits an enzyme necessary in the production of melanin, helping to fade dark spots and discolouration. It also delivers some antioxidant protection. 
• Vitamin C is an antioxidant which protects against free radical damage, evens skin tone, and promotes collagen production.
